Sonora implements judicial reform

Sonora has become the last state to adopt Mexico’s new judicial reform after its new governor, Claudia Pavlovich Arellano, in September signed a declaration calling for its implementation. This is a critical step towards full implementation of a constitutional reform dating to 2008 that all 32 of Mexico’s federal entities (31 states plus the Mexico City federal district) must have in place by a June 2016 deadline.
