Miners and gov’t begin dialogue in Bolivia

Development: On 12 August representatives from the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) government led by President Evo Morales and leaders from Bolivia’s national confederation of mining cooperatives (Fencomin) began talks aimed at seeking a solution to the protests staged last week by Fencomin, which is calling for the government to address ten demands.
