Low second quarter GDP growth. Domestic economic activity increased by 2% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of the year, according to the latest economic figures released by Colombia’s national statistics agency (Dane) last week. With the result that the accumulated GDP growth rate for the first six months of the year reached 2.3%. This is lower than the 3% figure forecast by the Colombian government and closer to the 2.37% forecast by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
