Brazil: Crime goes up as budget goes down

Brazilians have shown contempt for President Michel Temer’s as he moves to implement a highly unpopular austerity regime. Tens and thousands of protestors have staged anti-government protests across more than 50 cities, raising short-term security concerns about how to quell public anger and long-term doubts over the future political stability of the current administration.
