Two polls held to coincide with President Otto Pérez Molina’s first 100 days in government gave him undeniable thumbs up. One, by CID/Gallup, revealed him to have the best rating of any new president in more than a decade; the other, by Prodatos, put his popularity at 82%. The latter poll also revealed that the mano dura (hard-handed) approach to combating crime, with which he got elected, remains his most popular policy.
