Uruguay’s ruling party goes on the offensive

Development: On 31 August the vice-presidential candidate of Uruguay’s ruling left-wing Frente Amplio (FA) coalition, Raúl Sendic, accused the presidential candidate of the centre-right opposition Partido Nacional (PN, Blancos), Luis Lacalle Pou, of offering voters “a kingdom of uncertainty” if he comes to power in October’s general elections.
