Electoral authorities come under pressure in the DR as general elections loom

Development: On 6 May the Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), the Dominican Republic (DR)’s main opposition party, submitted a formal request to the national electoral authority (JCE) calling for there to be a manual count in all the electoral contests scheduled to take place during the country’s 15 May general elections.
