Fujimori returns but the big surprise is Humala
Peru's former president Alberto Fujimori is back on the South American mainland. The manner of his return from self-imposed exile in Japan, travelling by private jet via Mexico to Chile, caught Interpol napping; although he always said he would contest the presidential elections in April 2006. He was promptly arrested and remains in custody in Chile awaiting an extradition request from Peru.
