A home run for Chávez?
As things stand in early 2011 there is little standing in the way of President Hugo Chávez’s prospects for re-election in 2012. This is despite evidence that about half of the 17m-strong electorate does not agree with his Socialist project, and an uncertain outlook for the local oil-driven economy.
