CHILE: Biggest steel plant struggles for survival
Chilean steel producer Compañía Siderúrgica Huachipato (CSH) this week gave the administration of President Gabriel Boric an ultimatum. Either the government raises import tariffs on Chinese steel to at least 25% or the company will shut down permanently.
