BOLIVIA: Morales vies with Arce for control of MAS
Bolivia’s President Luis Arce was expelled from the ruling left-wing Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) on 3 September. Not for the first time, the MAS faction loyal to former president Evo Morales (2006-2019) is trying to drive Arce out of the party to pave the way for a presidential bid by Morales next year.
