BRAZIL | Government primary deficit down year-on-year. The national treasury reported on 6 September that the federal government registered a primary deficit of R$9.28bn (US$1.64bn) in July. This marks a 75.3% decrease compared with the R$35.92bn deficit in the same month last year.
