COLOMBIA: Ripples spread as reelection advances
One thing that President Alvaro Uribe was unable to achieve, as he had wanted via his mega-referendum, he now appears about to get from a surprisingly pliant congress. The senate has just rushed through the approval of a draft constitutional amendment allowing presidential re-election for successive terms.
