PERU: Sendero blamed for Ilave protests
Continuing unrest in the southern township of Ilave, where the mayor was recently lynched [WR-04-18], is being blamed by the government on the Sendero Luminoso guerrillas. Protests - so far peaceful - have continued in the area, together with an all-out `stoppage' which new interior minister Javier Reátegui failed to get called off.
