GUATEMALA | Huge textile factory opens. Guatemala’s President Bernardo Arévalo de León inaugurated a textile factory on the outskirts of Guatemala City on 16 October. The new factory is the result of a Q336m (US$43.5m) investment by the Spanish textile company Grupo Nextil Elastic Fabrics, whose president Alberto Llaneza, was present at the launch.
