BRAZIL | Grain harvest expected to rise next year. The national statistics institute (Ibge) released new figures on 14 November which showed its first forecast for Brazil’s grain harvest in 2025. The total harvest of grains, cereals, legumes, and oilseeds is expected to reach 311m tonnes (t). This would mark a 5.8% increase compared with the projected total harvest of 2024. However, the projected harvest for 2025 would still be lower than the bumper crop of 2023, when the grain harvest totalled 315.4m t.
