BRAZIL | Nigeria and Brazil aim to boost agricultural cooperation. On 24 June Vice President Geraldo Alckmin attended the Nigeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism, an event in the Nigerian capital of Abuja, where officials announced a US$1bn initiative known as the Green Imperative Programme. Under the bilateral initiative, Brazil will provide agricultural machinery and technology for Nigeria’s farming sector.
