ARGENTINA: Milei moves to strengthen economy
FeaturedOn 2 January Argentina’s government led by President Javier Milei launched a new monetary programme, including a reform of the exchange rate bands, and enacted a ‘fiscal innocence law’, which is designed to encourage Argentines to deposit undeclared US dollar savings into the formal banking system, boosting central bank (BCRA) reserves.
