BOLIVIA: The short life of decree 5,503
After weekend negotiations with trade union leaders from the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB) and other lobby groups, the new government led by President Rodrigo Paz agreed to rescind decree 5,503 but is still claiming victory since the elimination of fuel price subsidies will remain in place.
