*Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released the latest figures for its economic activity index (IBC-Br), showing a 0.7% monthly increase in activity in November. This comes after two consecutive monthly drops of 0.2% in September and October. The result for November is also a greater increase than the median forecast of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg, who projected that Brazil’s economic activity would register a monthly rise of only 0.4%. Compared to November 2024, the IBC-Br saw a year-on-year rise of 1.2%, while the accumulated activity for the 12 months through November 2025 was up 2.4% compared to the preceding 12-month period.
