Panama’s President José Raúl Mulino has condemned the decision by the European Union (EU) to retain Panama on its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes – a list which is updated twice a year. Removing Panama from such lists is a major priority for the Mulino government which took office in July 2024.
