*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its latest monthly estimate of economic activity (Emae) for December 2025, showing a 3.5% year-on-year increase and a 1.8% rise as compared to the previous month in seasonally adjusted terms. This brings accumulated growth for 2025 to 4.4%, after two previous years of contraction. The monthly rise followed two consecutive months of decline in November (-0.1%) and October (-0.5%). The year-on-year result for December was driven by growth in 11 sectors, with agriculture, livestock, hunting, and forestry posting the highest rise (+32.2%), followed by financial intermediation (+14.1%). Four sectors posted year-on-year declines, including manufacturing industry (-3.9%), and wholesale, retail, and repairs (-1.3%).
