Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has announced that progress is being made in the investigation into one of the country’s most infamous cases – the disappearance of 43 students from the Ayotzinapa teacher training college in Iguala, Guerrero state in 2014. Sheinbaum also announced that her government is seeking the return of international experts to support the investigation, in a development that could add significant credibility to the investigation and ease tensions with the students’ families.
