On 29 March the Comisión Nacional Anticorrupción (CNA), an Ecuadorean civil society organisation, accused the national electoral council (CNE) of becoming a “political operator” after it changed the date of regional elections in a move which could exclude the main left-wing opposition party Revolución Ciudadana (RC).
