PERU: Candidates of chaos?
In the televised debate ahead of the second round of Peru’s presidential elections, which was held on 31 May, the two candidates could agree on only one thing. Both Keiko Fujimori, of the populist right Fuerza Popular (FP), and Roberto Sánchez, of the left-wing Juntos por el Perú (JPP), said the country has sunk into chaos, for which they blame each other.
