Brazil’s ruling left-wing Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) and its allied coalition supporting the re-election bid of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva have released their official campaign manifesto. The document outlines the priority areas that the Lula administration will focus on if he wins a new term. However, some media reports have highlighted that the manifesto reads more like a defence of the government’s record, highlighting Lula’s achievements over the past few years, rather than offering substantive proposals for new policy initiatives.
