BRAZIL: Far-right candidate to contest senate presidency
On 4 November Brazil’s right-wing Partido Liberal (PL) launched the bid of its candidate, Senator Rogério Marinho, to be the next senate president. He is expected to be the main challenger to the current centre-right senate president, Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil), who is reportedly seeking another two-year term as leader of the upper chamber.
