MEXICO: Hitting a stride
The economy is beginning to lengthen its stride. Growth this year is certain to be the best of President Vicente Fox's presidency so far and, for the first time, respectable. It is likely to be at least 4%, although this is still some way from the 7% Fox promised during the 2000 election campaign.
