DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Budget battle continues
The opposition-controlled congress is refusing to approve the RD$238bn (US$7.7bn) budget for 2006. The dominant party in congress, the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano wants the government to end the foreign exchange commission it charges on imports.
