The world's car makers view Latin America as one of the most promising markets in world. Unlike either the US or Europe, demand for vehicles in the region looks likely to exceed supply for some years. This makes Latin America different from even China, where policymakers are already becoming concerned that the country's roads cannot cope with many more vehicles.
