MEXICO: Fox to propose ending parliamentary immunity
President Vicente Fox is proposing to end parliamentary immunity. This will mean that members of both chambers of congress could be prosecuted on corruption charges. He also wants to end immunity for state governors and diplomats. The proposal will be sent to the new congress, which convenes next week.
