MEXICO: PRI mortgages buildings
The biggest party in congress, the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) is under heavy financial pressure. It admits to having mortgaged its buildings to raise M$60m (US$5.5m) to pay party workers' wages and raise funds for next years elections. Ten states go to the polls next year.
