ARGENTINA: Corruption scandal rocks Argentina
The Argentine political scene has been rocked by revelations that former President Fernando de la Rúa paid US$4.3m to at least nine senators so that they would approve a labour reform bill. The accusations were made by former senate clerk Mario Puntaquarto on 12 December in an interview with the weekly magazine TXT.
