PERU: Exports surge

Peru's exports increased 15.6% year-on-year in 2003 to US$8.9bn. Foreign trade minister Alfredo Ferrero said that Peru registered a positive trade balance of US$432m. He said that he expects exports to top US$10bn in 2004.
