BRAZIL: Deported Brazilians arrived from the US
The first group of Brazilians to be deported by US authorities arrived in Belo Horizonte on Wednesday, 28 January. They were accompanied by three senators as well as forty US immigration agents. A deal was struck between Brazilian diplomats and US immigration officials to return the more than 1,400 Brazilians who are being kept in custody by US authorities for trying to enter the US illegally. More illegal immigrants are schedule to arrive in Brazil in the next three months.
