BRAZIL: Government blocks congressional investigation
The government seems to have seen off the threat of a congressional investigation (CPI) into the scandal centred on Waldomiro Diniz. He is accused of taking money from unregulated gambling operators to finance election expenses for the Partido dos Trabalhadores.
