GUATEMALA: Ríos Montt put under house arrest

The controversial former dictator and evangelical Christian, General Efraín Ríos Montt, was placed under house arrest by a judge yesterday. He was officially warned that he was suspected of being involved in the outbreaks of violence last July, in which one person was killed.
