DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: PRD promises tough opposition
The ruling Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD) will provide a fierce opposition to Leonel Fernández when he comes to power on 16 August, the party's president, Tony Raful said. Fernández, of the the Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), won the presidential elections with 57% of the vote on 16 May.
