Bolivia's business leaders and unions have rejected the government's plans to hold a referendum on the proposed export of Bolivian gas on 18 July. In particular, they have rejected the question in the referendum referring to the possible extension of state control over the oil and gas sector, which they fear will damage Bolivia's attraction for international investors.
