The leader of the opposition Partido Aprista Peruano (PAP), Alan Garcí­a, is getting bolder and bolder with his demands. He has called for Prime Minister Carlos Ferrero to be dismissed for failing to confront adequately the political and social crisis currently affecting the country. Garcí­a's PAP was recently instrumental in bringing down Peru's former interior minister, Fernando Rospigliosi, for his alleged mishandling of the government's confrontation with the country's coca growers.
