BRAZIL: Call for payment to preserve Amazonia
Development: A former president of Ecuador, Rosalía Artega, said on 30 June that industrialised countries should be asked to pay for the preservation of Amazonia. Artega is secretary general of the Organización del Tratado de Cooperación Amazónica (OTCA) .
