VENEZUELA: US could broadcast rival to Telesur
Development: On 20 July the US congress approved an amendment authorising the US government to initiate television and radio broadcasts aimed at establishing a counterweight to Telesur, the Caracas-based TV station due to be launched across Latin America on 24 July.
