PARAGUAY-US: US base story resurfaces in Triple Border forum
The story that the US is intent upon establishing a military base in Paraguay [WR-05-27] has been revived by an assemblage of social organisations who gathered last week in the 'Social Forum of the Triple Border'. The new version says that Washington's aim is to control the region's biggest fresh water deposit, the Guaraní aquifer.
