COLOMBIA: Uncertain AUC will stick with the peace process
The leaders of the demobilised Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC), while bewailing the uncertainty in which they have been left by the recent constitutional court ruling on the requisites for obtaining sentencing benefits [WR-06-28], have announced that they remain committed to the peace process. This has happened as the enormity of their crimes begins to be confirmed by the location of secret mass graves.
