SECURITY UPDATE: Officers recruited into Colombian Los Zetas
The Colombian government has had to admit that its military has been seriously infiltrated by drug traffickers and guerrilla organisations for two purposes: to obtain intelligence about military operations and to recruit officers about to retire into a 'hit' team similar to Mexico's notorious Zetas. The admissions were made between late July and early August.
