Vázquez suffers first strike in Uruguay
Development: On 20 August Uruguay's Frente Amplio collation government endured its first 24-hour national strike. The strike was called by the country's largest trade union Plenarios Intersindical de Trabajadores (PIT-CNT) in demand of changes to the government's economic policy.
