Opposition in DR claim electoral fraud
Development: On 18 May, Miguel Vargas, the leader of the opposition Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), said he would request a recount of the votes from the 16 May legislative and municipal elections in 12 provinces (out of a total 32) following alleged irregularities.
