REGION: US considers that relations with Latin America have improved since the current administration of George W. Bush took office in 2001, said the spokesman of the US Secretary of State, Sean McCormack, on 18 September. The official said that the US government believes it now has better relations and contact with more leaders from Latin America than it had eight years ago, and underlined that “the depth and width of the relations with Latin American countries has increased during this Administration".
