A civil judge will decide whether or not to accept Amnesty International's
request not to allow retired Colonel Luis Alfonso Plazas Vega to be tried
by the military justice system (as opposed to the civil courts). Plazas Vega
is on trial for the disappearance of 11 people in
1985.
