Who is he? An economist, Segovia will serve as technical secretary to the presidency under the new left-wing Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN) government of President Mauricio Funes, which took office on 1 June 2009. Segovia is not a cardholding member of the FMLN but is one of the founders of the pro-business Amigos de Mauricio Funes (AMF). These are a mixture of left-wing and right-wing figures who provided financial support to Funes during his campaign
